Bluetooth

Harald "Bluetooth" Gormsson was a 10th-century Viking king famous for uniting warring Danish tribes. Apparently also famous for having a dead, discoloured tooth.
In 1996, engineers needed a code name for their new wireless standard. They chose Bluetooth as a nod to Harald's gift for bringing rivals together, just like their tech would unite devices from competing manufacturers.

The logo? Harald's initials mashed together in ancient runic script. ᚼ + ᛒ
A dead tooth. A Viking king. Your wireless headphones.

And now you know!
